After being the fastest to 50 wickets in 2020, Kagiso Rabada also became the quickest to 100 IPL wickets in 2023. He needed 64 matches to complete his 100th wicket in the league.
Rabada went past Lasith Malinga in the process. The former Mumbai Indians pacer took six more games, 70 to be precise. Malinga was the first to pick up 100 scalps in the IPL back in 2013.
Before Rabada claimed the spot, Harshal Patel went level with Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Both seamers attained their 100 victims in 81 matches.
