Most Wickets in a Single IPL Season [Updated]

Dwayne Bravo and Harshal Patel have picked up the most wickets in an IPL season. Both pacers snared 32 scalps each in 2013 and 2021, respectively. While Bravo was Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lead wicket-taker in 2013, Patel rose to the top for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2021.

In between, Kagiso Rabada claimed the top spot with 30 wickets for Delhi Capitals in 2020. Back in 2011, Lasith Malinga troubled batters to end up with a haul of 28 scalps and, of course, the Purple Cap.

Two years later, James Faulkner levelled Malinga’s tally, though he followed Bravo on the wickets chart. Fast forward to 2023, Mohammed Shami joined the duo with 28 victims for Gujarat Titans.
